They may be right. 1L, as it is known, can be difficult, gruelling and deeply stressful. But it can also be fascinating. A study of the law opens access to the world in a whole new way. It is empowering, engaging, and enlightening--a paradigm shift. But there is also another way to look at the law: as story. It is the story of people and their conflicts--and, at a higher level, the story of a society's aspirations and its shortcomings. Come and dance the Maypole with us! Today we celebrate Beltane and our seventh principle, reminding ourselves that we are part of the web of all beings on this earth and embracing the childlike joy within us all. Our service will be multi-generational and interactive: bring your dancing shoes for our maypole dance - we will begin upstairs and proceed downstairs for the dancing. All ages are invited to participate in the service. There are no classes for children or youth this day but child care is available as an option for those under the age of four.

Special note: We invite all to come early for facepainting, wand and garland making. We invite all to come in costume, celebrating the outdoors - fairies and lions all welcome!

Should you want to help with all this merrymaking, please contact Melissa Rockenfield

Sunday April 25, 2010

Rev.
