Marguerite Porete, author of the spiritual classic The Mirror of Simple Souls, was burned at the stake as a relapsed heretic in Paris on June 1, 1310. In this talk, Bob Chodos (of Temple Shalom and Interfaith Grand River) explores who Marguerite was and why she still matters 700 years after her death.

Do things come in threes? So superstition would have it, and various religions, too! From the study of time to our investigations of the consciousness, there seems to be an instinct for a tripartite division of things. Basing his talk on ancient Chinese and Mahayana Buddhist cosmologies, Steve Higgins, of Cold Mountain Internal Arts and Interfaith Grand River, will discuss the concept of Trinity in locating ourselves spiritually.
