THE NATURE OF CHANGE
Danamar
Service Leader: Margaret Insley
Music: Lauren Smee (violin) and Stephen Preece (piano)

We live in a world that is in a state of continuous change - global, environmental, political -that, as individuals, we have little ability to control. How are we affected by these changes? How do we respond to them? What of personal change and its effect on our world? Are we being driven by forces beyond our control? Or do we choose change? And if so, why? To what end? As UUs there are likely to be as many answers to these questions as there are individuals; still, as the song says “to question is the answer” and it is in the dialogue of questioning, that we may find our own answers.

GRATITUDE FOR THE GENEROSITY
Rev. Debra Faulk
Music: Stephen Preece

Over the years, Debra Faulk, Minister of the Don Heights Unitarian Congregation, has been working on a functional personal theology. At this point in time a model of the eastern notion of balance, yin (inward)/yang (outward) is most satisfying. To this she has added the idea of gratitude as expressive of the yin aspect, generosity as the yang. Namaste. This Sunday, Revs. Jess and Debra exchange pulpits to celebrate our annual “Sharing Our Faith Sunday.” A special collection will be taken in support of our national organization, the Canadian Unitarian Council.
