TO SEEK JUSTICE & COMPASSION
Colin Read.

Let this flame be to us a symbol of the wholeness we seek … How often, when we say these weekly words, do we really think about them, what they might mean, and how they can guide us in our daily lives. This week, member Colin Read shares his interpretation of their meaning with the hope of inspiring greater thought and insight, and a call to seek Justice, Equity and Compassion for all the world.

FUCW member Colin Read is a familiar face at our chancel, usually jamming with the Sydney Street Trio. In taking on the challenge of the pulpit today, he says, "It's my way of letting people know that I’m here for more than just the music”.

WAITING At THE GATE FOR ELVIS
Rev. J. P. Rodela
Jay Moore as “The King.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote: “A person will worship something . . . have no doubt about that. We may think our tribute is paid in secret in the dark recesses of our hearts – but it will out.” When the Elvis we idolize “has left the building,” what desires do we harbour in this season of anticipation?
