Sunday November 30

HOLY NIGHT
Neil Carver
Music: Boyd McDonald.

Late November invites us to bunker down, to engage in story telling, to share familial memories and to ponder future possibilities. Consider this winter solstice as a time to encounter the darkness. Neil, a member of Interfaith Grand River, makes his third appearance in our pulpit.

A COVENENT OF CONSEQUENCE
Rev. Jessica Purple Rodela

Drawing on the work of Martin Buber and Alice Blair Wesley, and your own observations from the November 9 Stone Soup party, let us examine our collective hopes for this community.

Sunday November 16

DHARMAGEDDON: THE END OF ENLIGHTENMENT?
Rev. Jessica Purple Rodela

Come take a walk along the eight-fold path of Buddhism, where the point is no-point, the thing is no-thing, and the end is the beginning of it all.

Sunday November 9

BUILDING OUR COMMUNITY
Rev. Jessica Purple Rodela, Lee Dickey, and Other Members
Music: Clara Hilts

This morning is Canvass Sunday. Some of our long-time members will reflect on their connections and commitments to this congregation.

Sunday November 2

HONOURING OUR LOSSES
Carly Gaylor and Fiona Heath
Music: Clara Hilts.

Today we will hold a candle lighting ritual to acknowledge our losses of the past year, whether it is the death of a loved one, divorce, disability, job loss or other griefs. We will also commemorate our ancestors and others we have lost. People are invited to bring a small photo or memento to include in the ritual.
