THE NEXT JOURNEY BEGINS: FINDING OUR SETTLED MINISTER
Ministerial Search Committee

Choosing the right settled minister is one of the most important things that secure the futureof a congregation. This morning’s service is a significant step in our own “The NextJourney.” The shorter than usual formal service will be followed by a multiple-groupdiscussion to get your input on the following questions. How would you describe theminister that you want? How should we describe ourselves as a congregation to our settledminister? What do we want for our congregation’s future and how can the settled ministerhelp us get there? You are welcome to stay for the formal part of the service only if youwish, however members and friends are encouraged to stay for the discussion which will endat 1:00 pm.Music: Tom Nagy.A lunch will be provided by the Ministerial Search Committee.

IN APPRECIATION
Rev. Felicia Urbanski with the Membership Committee

It is said that people are volunteering less these days. However, religious communitiesdepend upon volunteers for everything from watering plants to signing a mortgage, fromemptying the garbage to comforting the sick. How can each of our volunteers find a senseof fulfillment and satisfaction, especially since they are not paid? Bring your own feelingsof appreciation with you this Sunday, as you will have a chance to jot a few of these downfor the volunteers who make First Unitarian Waterloo the kind of vibrant community it is.Music: Boyd McDonald.A Volunteer Fair, with a potluck and a special cake, will follow the service.
